Often times, the only green one will see on thehigh plains is a low point in a dry field where the irrigation run off goes, creating little pools of green. This piece, enameled found metal, shows this irrigation pond with surrounded by erosion lines and my favorite, the expansive horizon line. The found glass jars show the sandy soil of this landscape and the natural grasses that grow without irrigation. This piece celebrates the minimalist beauty of eastern Colorado, while also looking at the odd reality of water in a desert.
